A touch of Tudor British history goes along with this gemmy floral pendant pairing.
All solid handcrafted sterling silver design with hand pressed elements and set with a rose cut Garnet and clear Topaz.
Stones are set in fancy prong bezels and at the base of the clear Topaz I have added a fluttering rose pattern that can be viewed through the stone for added effect.
The center of pendant is the traditional English Tudor Rose design I hand pressed using a vintage replica die and it is bumped out for a slight domed appearance. Draped on sides of the Topaz I have added a vintage pressed leaf detailing to pair nicely with the floral motif.
Pendant is set on a nice sturdy sterling rolo chain. Measuring 18” long with 1” added for adjustment. Pendant itself measures right at 2” long and right over 3/4” at widest sides of Tudor Rose.
Patina is added for definition in details and polished for a shine.
All handcrafted in my personal home studio and made with love and good intentions!
The Tudor Rose, at the very center to this pendant is the traditional heraldic emblem of England for the House of Tudor. It represents the union of the two houses of Lancaster and York during the 1400’s along with the ending of the Wars of the Roses. I did a play on the color theme with stones for it to match with the tradition of red and white for the houses. Red standing for the house of Lancaster (outer petals of flower) and the clear Topaz for the white (inner petals) for house of York.
