Sweet glittery treat of Australian Crystal Pipe Opal set in a Mokume Gane stylized ring band.

All solid handcrafted sterling silver ring set with a natural Australian mined Crystal Pipe Opal. Ring is a size 8 3/4 with a nice thick style tapered band. I have rolled a Mokume Gane style swirl pattern onto band, which kinda reminds me of a lava lamp! Band top measures right under 3/8” and tapers down to 1/4” at base.
This opal carries little colorful glitter flecks throughout stone, along with hints of brown host rock and a pale orange/yellow vein across center. Opal is set in a fine silver bezel and top measures 1/2” by 3/8” at widest points.

Patina is added for definition in details and finished off with a light polish for some shine.

All handcrafted in my personal home studio and made with love and good intentions!

-Opal Jewelry Care-

Opals are a softer stone and should be worn and stored with care. Never wear jewelry in hot tubs or pools, the chemicals not only will harm stone but also leech away at your precious metals. Store when you know you will be doing laborious activities to prevent damage.
When storing, it is best to store in its own individual ring holder so it doesn’t get bumped or scratched, also can be stored in a small ziplock/medicine bag when not being worn.

I generally do not recommend dip cleaners or polishing compounds for any handmade jewelry unless it is especially made for soft stones and nothing with tarnish remover. Tarnish removers, will entirely strip the purposeful oxidation finish and can leave your piece of jewelry looking strange and or unwearable.
Polishing cloths and soft toothbrushes with gentle handsoap are good enough for most cleaning instances.
