Naming this one Under the Sea Magic, when staring into the Crystal Pipe Opal, it’s like looking into a magical underwater realm.
All natural solid Australian Crystal Pipe set in fine silver with sterling silver rippled outline cut base. Stone is an oval cut with a gorgeous violet hue with subtle glitter hints in interior and surrounded on sides by a brown host rock matrix.
Opal is directly set on a simple sterling cable chain with a close neck fit, measuring right under 16”. If you would like additional links added, please request it in notes at checkout for up to 1” extra if needed.
Opal setting measures 3/4” long by right under 1/2” tall. On backside of setting I have added a fern like leaf impression for added detail.
Patina is added for definition in detail and finished off with a light polish for shine.
Opal Care-
Opals should be worn and enjoyed but always with some simple care practices in mind to ensure a long lasting heirloom even piece. Never wear your handmade jewelry in pools or hot tubs, this can not only damage your stones but the integrity of precious metals of silver and gold. When storing, place piece in its own individual bag and or in jewelry box to prevent scratches again harder surfaces. A soft headed toothbrush with mild soap and warm water are the best for cleaning your handmade jewelry and when needing a shine up, I recommend something such as sunshine polishing cloths to gently rub back in some shine to your piece.
